For the longer routes over the weekend, we’ll have vehicle support for the road rides. These are all designed to be no drop rides, ridden at a sociable pace with coffee and lunch stops if and when needed!

Travelling from Barcelona to Girona by Train - with a bicycle!

The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes from Barcelona airport (Aeroport) to the city centre. Travel time approximately 25 minutes and costs approx. €4. Your destination is Barcelona Sants (otherwise known as Sants Estació) which is Barcelona’s Central Station. From here you can catch the train to Girona, which leave approximately every 40 mins and costs approx. €17.50 (Based on current prices).

If you are travelling with a bicycle (which no doubt you are!) you do not need to pay additional charges for the fare. However if your bike bag/box is larger than 120cm (length) x 90cm (height) then you may not be allowed on, so be sure to check the size of your luggage well in advance. The likelihood of securing a spot on the train for you and your bicycle is subject to available space, so it is advisable to travel during off peak times (10am - 3pm) as these will be quietest.
