Looking for your next mountain challenge? Want to take on some of the iconic climbs of the Tour de France in a fully supported environment? Join us for the HotChillee Alpine Challenge 2021, an epic 3 day cycling tour of the French Alps.

We know that whilst some of you will be tracking Strava segments not everyone is interested in being the first up the climbs, so we’ll help everyone get there in a fully supported environment and, more importantly, make some new friends along the way.

STAGE 2: MORZINE – MEGÈVE (114km / 3170m)

STAGE 3: MEGÈVE – MEGÈVE (112km / 3444m)

Places limited to 65 entrants

Riders will be timed at an ITT Prologue on the first day and seeded into one of three speed groups for the remainder of the event.

Each speed group will be supported by the HotChillee Ride Captains and followed by a support vehicle and a mechanic. A medic will also be roaming the route in radio contact with the HotChillee Ride Captains who will be on hand to assist with any support, moral boosting or (for some!) a little push here and there. Carefully selected lunches will be arranged each day where you will find one of our professional sports therapists to help you on your way!

At the end of the day you can hand your bike to our mechanics (if there are any issues), otherwise head straight to the therapists before sampling the excellent wines and regional cuisine.

The Alpine Challenge has been running since 2010 and has taken place in the French Alps, the Italian Alps, the Dolomites and the Pyrenees.

What bike should I ride?

The event is restricted to roadworthy road bicycles or E-Bikes only. If you are in any doubt then contact the organisers whose decision is final. The ride takes place on tarred or cobbled roads.

Note that no bicycle is permitted to have unconventional handlebars including triathlon bars, aero bars, clip-ons, prayer bars, and cow bars.

Entry requirements

You must be 18 years or older on 16th June 2021 to enter.

As there is a lot of climbing and descending involved you will need a good level of fitness. If you are in doubt as to your fitness then we recommend you have a medical check-up before registering.

How do I get there?

The nearest and recommended airport is Geneva. Airport transfers are included in your entry and times are as follows:

Wednesday 16 June 2021: Transfer from Geneva Airport at 13:00 (Transfer approx 1.5hrs. Includes luggage and bike box*)

Sunday 20 June 2021: Transfer from Event Hotel to Geneva Airport at 12:00 (Transfer arrives at Geneva Airport at 13:30. Includes luggage and bike box*)

*If you have booked bike transport as part of your registration, you will be emailed details nearer the time. You do not need a bike box for this service.

Do I need Insurance?

Yes! We ask that all riders take out travel insurance.

How do I train for a HotChillee event?

While we're still in lockdown, the HotChillee Ride Captains will be leading a series of structured training rides both on Zwift and Zoom via the HotChillee Community Platform. Once group riding outside is allowed, HotChillee CC will also have plenty of rides throughout the year to keep you motivated, both on the road and off it!
